Baptista Brügger,Andreas von Brügger's oldest son, served in the Swedisch army as "Rittmeister" in the 30-year war (1618-1648) under count von Waldeck. Later he retuned to Switzerland and became "Landvogt" in Meyenfeld 1683. He died unmarried in 1691 (Schweitzerisches LEXICON), but some sources tell he have a son Herkules Brügger.
PS:
Andreas Andresen Brügger, born 1694 in Fredrikshald in Norge, was an artilleri-officer (Feuerweker). The name indicates that his father name was Andres/Andreas Brügger. Can his father be Baptista Brügger? A much more likely explanation is that Andres/Andreas Brügger, was an artillery officer who Norway recruited from Holland to strengthen the defence against Sweden. In 1657 a Norwegian commission for recruiting artillery officers travel to Holland. Amsterdam, Maastricht and Utrecht were well known for making new coat of arms to the artillery. Copenhagen wanted to keep all their artillery officers.
