Colonel Andreas Brügger born in 1588, was in 1617 commander of a Swiss Guard company, founded 1623 a regiment in royal French service. In war he conquered 1624 the pass by St. Luziendteig; 1626 his regiment demobilized, and in October 1628 he got a French knight and Adel diploma.
Again he became commander of the Swiss Guard company, but it was demobilized in 1639. He was Landvogt in Mayensfeld 1630-1637. Andreas Brügger died 1653 Juni 4. in Zouz and he is buried in Zug.
