It is possible (but not proved) that the father Andre/Andres Brügger came from Holland, but he was “Feuerwerker” (artillery leutenant). His son Andreas Brügger was ”Capitaine des Armes” (Feuerwerker) and his grandson Hans Brügger was artillery lieutenant (Fyrv.s kar.) 1750 April 8. - real artillery lieutenant (fyrv.) at Kristiansand’s artillery company 1751 Mars 31.
Does Andreas Andresen Brügger descendent from Andreas Brügger in Sveits?
Baptista Brügger, oldest son of Andreas von Brüggerwas in Swedish active service as "Rittmeister" in the 30 years war (1618-1648). Is it possible he had a son Andres Brügger in Sweden that went to Norway? Much more reasonable is that Andres Brügger, father of Andreas Andresen Brügger, was an artillery officer that Norway recruited to strengthen the defence of Norway against Sweden. It might be Andreas Brügger born 1666 as son of Johann Friedrich Brügger and grandson of Andreas von Brügger.
Andreas Andresen Brügger, buried 1753 Oct. 25. inside "Nykirken" in Bergen, under the chairs.
2 Julius 1752 in Nykirken: Capit: Broggers wife on Schantzen burried in the church under the chairs in the morning 7 o'clock.
Elin Dorothea Brügger was godmother in the church Korskirken 1747 and in the church Nykirken 1748. She probably is Brügger's wife, his granddaugther Elen Dorothea Brügger born abt. 177 died 1856, probably renamed after her grandmother?
Elen Dorothea Brügger (abt. 1777-1856) and her daugther Anna Harboe Olde in 1832 enter upon an inheritance after Anne Harboe Frimann, daughter of Claus Frimann and Anne Harboe.
It is very likely that Andreas Andresen Brügger's wife was Elen Dorothea Brügger (born Frimann), a grand daughter of Claus Frimann and Anne Harboe.
